Find Your Focus
Using Your Focus
Module 8: Using your Focus in the real world
So now you’ve found your Focus, what are you supposed to do with it?
The quick answer is, use it to guide you as you decide to which activities and opportunities you will commit your time, money, effort and resources.
The slightly longer answer is that each time you are faced with any kind of opportunity, ask yourself how you can integrate it into your ‘course’ that single thread that holds all that you do together as a coherent whole. There will be things that you really fancy having a go at, but you really can’t see how they will contribute to and strengthen that one course that you are following to success – your Focus.
And it’s OK to pass on them, to actually say “No” to an opportunity that doesn’t fit with your Focus. You really don’t have to follow up on everything people offer you, nobody who cares about you will be offended.
They may think you’re mad, they may even keep trying to persuade you to give it a go. But when you’ve put in the effort to decide on your Ideal Day, your Flow, your Why, and your Values, Motivation and Boundaries – the fundamental elements of your Focus – you have a clarity and certainty that allows you to politely and firmly decline.
Clarity & Confidence
With that clarity and certainty comes the confidence and the power to commit to your Focus, to the activities and opportunities that you will love, and that will lead to your success. It’s like Ralph Waldo Emerson put it: “The world makes way for a man who knows where he is going”.

I’ve listed below some links to a few of my blogs and articles that you may find useful in putting your Focus into action, and in sticking to it and with it, to help you get some traction – and avoid those inevitable dis-Tractions we all face.
Keep a lookout for more information from TheBusyFool.com, I’ll be sending notifications about new blogs, new workshops and other things I’m developing with partners, and I may suggest some products and services from other people that I use or recommend.
I hate spam, so I promise not to make you a Busy Fool by wasting time with too many offers, or nonsense that doesn’t support you. Always remember it’s your time, and even deleting an email that doesn’t add value to you wastes it, so I’d rather you unsubscribe than ever feel I’m creating a distraction for you.
Finally, a wise piece of advice I heard from Dr Robert Holden:
“Live NOW, procrastinate later!”
Until the next time
