Fed up with people telling you how to have a life on purpose?

There is only one person living your life – and that’s you.  So why do all these “guru’s” insist on telling you what’s wrong with it?  I mean, what do they know about you, they’ve never met you – yet they’re prepared to post all over the web about they have the ultimate answer to everything that’s bugging you, messing you up, and holding you back from the life you deserve?  From a life on purpose.

Your life on purpose

Well guess what?  Chances are, you’re an expert in something – if you follow my Tweets and posts you know I believe we all have a unique Joyful Genius – a purpose in life that combines something we love doing with what we are naturally talented at.  So in that particular specialism, you can be the guru.

If you want to get up people’s noses the way those haranguing gurus get up yours!

LIVE a life on purpose

One of my “gurus” – except he’d hate me saying that – is Dr Dain Heer, co-creator of Access Consciousness.  The last thing he wants is to have people ‘follow’ him, hanging on his every word – and I agree with him, all we can do is put our truth out there, and let people use it if it resonates with them.  Or not.  As Dain says don’t tell your truth, live (be) your truth – if they’re super-intelligent enough to use it, they’ll work it out.

That was something my colleague Stuart Kerslake and I worked out a while back, about Core Process (CP), our favourite tool for discovering the common thread that runs through all the times we are completely in flow, when we are alive and alight, when it’s all going amazingly well.  When we are living our life on purpose.  Your CP is a simple phrase that describes what you are doing at all those times, but it isn’t something that you just do – it’s something that you BE.  So when Stuart’s at his best, he’s BEING ‘Awakening Freedom’, and when I truly achieve a life on purpose, I’m BEING ‘Encouraging Potential’.

So if you want to be recognised as an expert in your field, and you want to truly live a life on purpose, don’t tell your truth, BE it.
