When I talk to people about being a busy fool, they tend to fall into two camps: those who know that the secret of a successful business is to be busy, and those who don’t.
But it’s not just any kind of busy – it’s busy doing things that generate income, that bring new customers, that put cash in the bank. Busy Fools are the ones who seem to be busy all the time, yet you never see them with clients. Who struggle to fit you into their diary, yet never have any money to spend with you. Who have an operations system to die for, and no real live customers to put through it.
Busy Fool!
Successful entrepreneurs tend to be doing work they love doing. Maybe even work that they would do anyway, even if they weren’t getting paid. They are pretty laid-back, engaged in work they find incredibly cool. And they focus on the important stuff, the stuff that produces results, the stuff that customers will pay for – and when they get it right, when the work they love to do creates a lot of demand, they become very busy indeed.
