At an Entrepreneurs in London event yesterday, Warren Cass, the founder and CEO of Business Scene asked the audience – of entrepreneurs, note – who amongst them regarded themselves as a salesperson. Far from everyone in the room raised their hand; I didn’t – partly out of shyness, and partly because I don’t think of myself as a salesman.
Warren’s response was a bit of an eye-opener: if you think you’re an entrepreneur and you don’t think you’re a salesperson, if you’re not out there selling your stuff - you don’t have a business, you have a very expensive hobby!
So what are you working on – a business or an expensive hobby?
